Walking Tours
Whether your interest is history, architecture, gardens or adventure,
there are tours of the island available to guide you on your way.

If you have a group interested in a private walking tour of the Hotel del Coronado or Historic Coronado, please email vcmgr@coronadovisitorcenter.com with the date and size of your group and we'll make the arrangements for you. 

Hotel del Coronado Tour
Coronado Historical Association docents lead a 90 minute tour through the historic Hotel del Coronado. Tours depart on Tuesdays and Fridays at 10:30, and on Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00. $15 per person, children under twelve are free.  Reservations required. (619) 437-8788.

Coronado Heritage Tour
The Coronado Historical Association leads this tour from the lobby of the Museum of History and Art, on Wednesdays at 10:30. Learn about Coronado's famous buildings and residents.  Fee includes admission to the museum. $10 per person, reservations required. (619) 437-8788
Register for both above Coronado Historical Association Tours for a total price of $20 per person. 

Coronado Tree Tour
A 90-minute guided tour of Coronado's Central park, Spreckels Park , by a local arborist. $10 per person, reservations required. (619) 435-1764

Coronado Walking Tour
A 90-minute leisurely guided walk of historic areas in Coronado departs from the Glorietta Bay Inn, the former mansion of John D. Spreckels, and provides tales and tidbits on more than one hundred years of remarkable history. Tues, Thurs and Sat at 11am. $12 per person. (619) 435-5993

Explore Silver Strand State Beach
Departs from Loews Coronado Bay Resort on Sat. and Sun. 9:30 am. No fee; reservations required at (619) 424-4000.

A Walk in the Herb Garden
Tour Loews Coronado Bay Resort's famous organic garden every Sat. at 3:00 pm, Summer Only. No fee; reservations required at (619) 424-4000 ext. 6300. 

Coronado Public Art
Coronado's public spaces are graced with works of art. Pick up a guide to the public art at the Coronado Visitor Center or at the city offices, 1825 Strand Way, (619) 522-7326. 

Gondola Company Tour
4000 Loews Coronado Bay Rd
Cruise through the canals and waterways of the Coronado Cays in Venetian style, guided by a gondolier. Tours are about an hour and include a complimentary hors d'oeuvre or dessert plate. Packages start at $85 for two people. (619) 429-6317

Segway of Coronado

If you're looking for something exciting and different to do, try the "transportation technology of the future"  the Segway PT. The 90-minute tour includes safety and hands-on training. Reservations recommended. Call for tour times. (619) 694-7702 

Rent a Local Biking Adventure
Fridays and Saturdays at 10:30. A relaxed spin through Coronado's beautiful neighborhoods and coastlines. $45 fee includes bike. (619) 917-6037. $10 discount for Southern California residents through May 15, 2012: Email menkin@wheretours.com and mention "cool Coronado biking deal". 

Coronado Culinary and Nutrition Walking Tour
Fridays at 11am and Sundays at 2pm, the 3-hour tour is $49. Advance reservations are required at the website or call (619) 356-8566.

Off Island Tours
Other tours companies can take you to explore the attractions across the bay such as Old Town Trolley Tours ( 800) 868-7482 or.
