See San Diego from a vantage point that’s only available once a year…on foot from the top of the Coronado Bridge! On Sunday, May 19, join thousands of fun-loving, military-supporting runners and walkers crossing the bridge during the Navy’s 33rd Bay Bridge Run/Walk, presented by SDG&E, Leidos, and the Unified Port of San Diego, to raise funds to support our San Diego Navy family. Registration is now available at www.navybaybridgerun.com. See you on the bridge!
The scenic 4-mile racecourse, sanctioned by the U.S.A. Track and Field Association, starts on Park Blvd. between the Hilton San Diego Bayfront and the San Diego Convention Center and finishes in Coronado’s Tidelands Park.
The Navy Region Southwest Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Program (MWR) hosts this outstanding event that joins the San Diego community with the military for their shared enjoyment. Profits generated from the event directly support quality of life programs at San Diego Navy installations. Race participants receive a commemorative race shirt and collectible finisher’s medal; transportation back to the Hilton San Diego Bayfront after the event via bus or ferry, compliments of Flagship Cruises & Events; access to the event’s Runners Expo; LIVE entertainment and entry into prize drawings.
Unique awards will be presented for age group and team division winners. The success of this event relies on the generous support of Navy MWR by presenting sponsors San Diego Gas & Electric, Leidos and the Unified Port of San Diego. Additional sponsors include Flagship Cruises & Events, Hilton San Diego Bayfront, Alaska Airlines, Armed Forces Dispatch, EDCO Disposal, KUSI, Lincoln Military Housing, Metropolitan Transit System, National City Mile of Cars, Navy League of San Diego, Old Town Trolley, Road Runner Sports, SeaWorld San Diego, USAA and Vincennes University.
