Featuring local author, Michael Giorgione Rear Admiral, CEC, USN (Ret.), Founder and President of LeadingLeaders LLC, October's Wine & Lecture is timed to the 75th anniversary of Camp David. INSIDE CAMP DAVID is the most intimate and personal look at the private lives of our presidents. With unparalleled access to those who have witnessed and served the presidents, Giorgione offers a uniquely insightful look, for history buffs and general audience alike, at a side of the presidency few ever see. The book and Giorgione have been highlighted on the TODAY Show, in the Wall Street Journal, on NPR, and in numerous other media outlets and programs.

Mike is a retired Rear Admiral from the Navy’s Civil Engineer Corps and served in a variety of assignments around the world in his 29-year career.  After retirement in 2010, Mike devoted four years to private industry. He currently works full-time in the company that he founded in 2011, LeadingLeaders, a leadership development, and executive coaching firm.  In October 2017, he published his first book: Inside Camp David:  The Private World of the Presidential Retreat.  Mike travels often speaking on the book and has been covered by the Wall Street Journal, The Today Show, the Smithsonian, NPR, CSPAN, Fox News, SiriusXM, and many other prints, radio, and television outlets.

Mike is a 1981 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, has a masters degree in civil engineering from Penn State and business certificates from Duke University and the University of North Carolina.  He is a registered professional engineer in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, is a Fellow in the Society of American Military Engineers, and is Chairman of the Board for the Seabee Memorial Scholarship Association.
