Historical Tours

Hotel Del Coronado Tour

This tour is a  partnership between the Hotel del Coronado and the Coronado Historical Association. The tour is 90 minutes and is provided Monday, Wednesday & Friday at 10:30am and  Saturday & Sundays at 2:00pm.  Learn about the hotel’s construction and its rich, colorful history. Tour cost is $15 per person, children under twelve free. Reservations required. (619) 437-8788

Coronado Walking Tour

Tour led by local historians who have been featured in national publications. Tours are Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, leaving  from the Glorietta Bay Inn. Tours start at 11:00am and are $12 per person.
No reservation required.

Coronado Heritage Tour

Tour led  by docents from the  Coronado Historical Association. Explore the historical downtown district., Hotel del Coronado and learn about Coronado’s Military connections and why Coronado is the birthplace of Naval Aviation. The tour begins in the Museum of History & Art located at 1100 Orange Ave each  Wednesdays at 10:30 am.  $10 per adult, children under 12 are free. Reservations (619) 437-8788.

Nature Tours         

Coronado Tree Tour

This 90 minute tour is given by a local arborist through Speckles Park. $10 per person by appointment.

Silver Strand State Beach Tour and other beach fun.

Explore Silver Strand State Beach  from Loews Coronado Bay Resort select Sat. & Sun. 9:30-11:30. $5  per hour to park. Learn about the environment of the Silver Strand State Beach; it’s  fragile plants, animals, birds, mudflats and sand dunes, during the an interactive tour and optional interactive project following the tour.  Check out the Silver Strand State Beach page for times and dates. Gondola Company Tour

The 50 minute tours offered daily from 3pm until midnight. Tours can be 6 to 14 passengers. Large event opportunities also available.
Tours leave from the canals of the Coronado Cays next to the Lowe’s Coronado Bay Resort on the Silver Strand.

Segway Tour

 Pedigo Bike Tour
Rent a bike that can operate in manual or on an electrical charge. Pick up a self guided tour map at the Visitor Center or take a 
private Pedigo Tour. Bike rentals start at $15 per hour. Tours are 2 hours and cost $65 per person.

A  culinary walking tour that spans  3 hours, 1.5 miles (casually paced) and  5 local eating establishments. (800) 979-3370

Coronado Food Tour
A 3 hour culinary walking tour,  11 am – 2 pm Tuesdays, Thursdays, and private tours upon request. Sample signature dishes from local restaurants while learning about the culture of Coronado. 619-940-7188
