PAWS of Coronado was founded in 2003 by Louise Shirey and a group of dedicated volunteers as a 501(c)(3) non-profit, tax exempt animal welfare organization.

OUR MISSION: Provide adoption services to the animals in the Coronado Animal Care Facility. Provide educational services to the community regarding animal welfare, care and adoption. Encourage and facilitate the spaying and neutering of all family pets.

OUR VISION: A world where every lost, stray and abandoned animal is able to find its forever home.

OUR BELIEF: While saving the life of one animal may not change the world, for that one animal saved, its world will change forever.

MONTHLY YAPPY HOUR at McPs!

On the last Wednesday of every month PAWS of Coronado hosts a Yappy Hour for canines and all animal lovers at Mc P’s Irish Pub in the heart of Coronado Village.

The festivities start at 5:00 pm and continue until 6:30 pm with McP’s Happy Hour pricing from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm along with complimentary chips & salsa.

Best of all, McP’s will donate 10% of every bar and restaurant tab rung up between 5-7 p.m. to PAWS’ effort to find forever homes for Coronado’s lost, stray and relinquished animals.
