Two local San Diego brothers, Kelly and Larry Kraus, found their passion in skateboarding and surfing when the industry was still unknown to most. Growing up on the coast in the southernmost house in the southernmost city, Imperial Beach, CA, they discovered their true talents.

They would eventually travel the world’s oceans, befriend industry favorites, and turn their dream into a reality. ‘Emerald City’ is a cultural codename for Coronado’s once evergreen barrels and ties to the Wizard of Oz. Opening in 1988, this core surf & skate shop really knows its stuff.
