Smoking and alcohol are prohibited from all parks, beaches and public spaces.

The following parks are available for special event permits.
Bayview Park
 – 413 First Street
Centennial Park – First Street and Orange
Glorietta Bay Park – 1975 Strand Way
Spreckels Park – 600 Block Orange Ave
Tidelands Park – Glorietta Blvd and Third (operated by the Port District, phone 619-686.6200)

Beaches are designated in the following way:
North Beach: North of the main lifeguard tower until Dog Beach
Central Beach: Between the Main Lifeguard tower and The Hotel Del
South Beach: South of the Hotel Del Coronado.

Marriage License

To receive a marriage license, couples must show photo identification with proof of age. A certified birth certificate is also preferred. Couples must show up together at the office of Gregory J. Smith, San Diego County Clerk, provide a completed application and pay a $50 license fee. Blood tests are no longer necessary and there is no residency requirement in California.
